"Violet Muse"

Art Notes

I painted this piece using palette knife and brushes loaded with thick paint to create a unique texture containing layers-upon-layers of vibrant colors.  This technique gives a wonderful three-dimensional effect to my art.  In my method, I continue to paint on the sides of the canvas and the result is the painting can be hung with or without frame.  

Jacaranda Trees

My inspiration was the beautiful Jacaranda trees in Argentina and Paraguay.
